An open championship in table tennis was held in Lebap velayat of Turkmenistan

Seventy-three boys and 58 girls born in 2005-2015 took part in the first Open Table Tennis Championship of Lebap province, which was held in the territory of the Sports School №6 in Turkmenabat. This was reported by the Neutral Turkmenistan daily.

A large number of participants in the tournament showed a keen interest of young people in table tennis.

The main struggle in the competition was between the hosts of the tournament, table tennis players from Ashgabat and boys and girls of Dyanev etrap. They were the most frequent climbers in different age categories.

So, in the team event the players from Turkmenabat won 13 first, 6 second and 4 third places. Participants from the capital of Turkmenistan in a tense struggle won 7 first, 6 second and 10 third places. Boys and girls from Dyanevskiy etrap won 3 first, 11 second and 3 third places in the piggy bank.
