The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan received copies of credentials of the Ambassador of Ethiopia

A solemn ceremony of handing over copies of credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to Turkmenistan (with residence in the city of Islamabad) Jemal Beker Abdullah took place in the building of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan on December 9, 2024. Deputy Foreign Minister Serdar Mukhammetdurdyev received copies of credentials, after which the sides discussed the current state and development of political and diplomatic relations between the countries. Attention was emphasized on the importance of consolidating efforts to strengthen trust between peoples and states.

During the conversation, the sides emphasized the importance of the coming year 2025, which was declared the "International Year of Peace and Trust" at the UNGA on Turkmenistan's initiative. They also noted the prospects for cooperation in the economic sphere, in particular, in agriculture and water resources management.
