On Wednesday, February 1, the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on the Caspian Sea. The meeting was attended by the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and departments. During the meeting the results of the work of the Interdepartmental Commission achieved last year, current plans and priorities for 2023 were discussed. The participants of the event assessed the results of the VI Caspian Summit held on June 29 last year and touched upon the topic of implementation of agreements reached between the heads of the Caspian states.
They emphasized Turkmenistan's readiness to continue to work to ensure peace and stability in the Caspian Sea region, and to contribute to strengthening constructive partnerships among the countries that have access to the Caspian Sea.
