On the first day of the Asian Games Turkmen athletes performed in 4 sports

The first day of the XIX Summer Asian Games was held for Turkmen athletes in four sports at once. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Turkmen swimmers - 20-year-old Master of Sports Musa Jalaev and 28-year-old Master of Sports International Class Merdan Ataev - took part in the morning program of competitions. Jalaev took 23rd place out of 44 athletes, while Ataev was in the top ten out of 28 swimmers.

Judo tournaments were held, in which A. Omirov and H. Agamammedov performed. Turkmen athletes managed to win in the first round, but in the second round luck was on the side of their opponents.
Turkmen athletes K. Kurbanova and S. Rozyyeva completed their judo performances. Rozyeva, having lost to their rivals in the first round.

Х. Imankuliev won in the first round of the boxing tournament, but in the remaining rounds the victory was given to the Mongolian athlete. In the wushu-sanda tournament, a technical victory was awarded to Turkmen athlete A. Yazymov.
