During an online training seminar held in Ashgabat, employment officers Ministry of Labor and Social Security Turkmenistan improved their skills in the field of psychology of communication with clients. In addition, workers could improve their skills in providing support to citizens who applied for help in finding a job. Participants were representatives of departments in Ashgabat, Dashoguz, Mary, Turkmenabat, Turkmenbashi and Tedzhen.
Among the main objectives of the seminar is to introduce participants to a variety of techniques for providing counseling and psychological assistance in the field of employment young applicants from the most vulnerable social groups.
In addition to the theoretical part, practical exercises were conducted with the participants of the online seminar. They allowed the participants to use the techniques they had learned to assess the emotional state in which the interlocutor was staying. They also discussed the differences between such terms as "hear" и "actively listening."The participants practiced techniques of constructive communication and resolution of conflicts that arise in everyday life. The participants also practiced techniques for constructive communication and conflict resolution in everyday life.
It was noted that knowledge of the key rules of communication and the development of skills in this area significantly increases the effectiveness of the successful implementation of the interview with job seekers. Especially with young men and women seeking employment assistance.
In addition, another innovation in the activities of employment services in Turkmenistan was the use of an online format for training. And it has been successfully implemented.
The seminar was one of the stages of a joint project of UNDP and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Turkmenistan aimed at increasing the resilience of local societies and interaction to prevent extremism in the countries of the Central Asian region. The project is supported by the Government of Japan.
