Sowing campaign starts in Turkmenistan on March 20

Cotton sowing campaign will start in Akhal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary velayats of Turkmenistan on March 20, while in Dashoguz velayat the sowing campaign will start on March 27. This is reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.

Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahalliev presented a report on the preparation of the regions of the country for sowing cotton, on the measures taken to organize the sowing campaign in accordance with agro-technical norms. It was also noted that cotton seeds and agricultural machinery are being prepared.

Before the start of sowing, practical workshops will be held across the country with the participation of daihans, experienced specialists, scientists and mechanizers.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to oversee the seasonal agricultural works.
