A WHO training course for laboratory professionals is being held in Turkmenistan

Laboratory specialists of the State Veterinary Service of Turkmenistan under the Ministry of Agriculture are taking a three-day course on biosecurity and biosafety. This is reported by the Internet publication "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".

Arslan Soltanmyradov, Head of the International and Scientific Relations Department of the State Veterinary Service, became an expert of the course organized by the WHO Country Office. The course is aimed at increasing the national capacity of Turkmenistan in the implementation of the One Health concept. The course is based on the WHO Practical Guide to Biosafety in Laboratory Settings (LBM4).

The course is delivered using an interactive methodology and a structured approach with visual aids based on case studies. Trainees participate in group sessions and discussions and are provided with a large number of relevant videos.
