In the period from December 2 to 3 this year, Turkmenistan hosted a rally-raid championship dedicated to the International Day of Neutrality. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."
The route of the 161-km long track passed through the territory of the Akhal and Balkan provinces of Turkmenistan. On the first day the drivers covered 138 km of the distance, on the second day - the remaining 23 km. The Championship was organized by the Automobile Sports Federation of Turkmenistan together with the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan.
Competitions were held in different classes, including the open class and the off-road class (T2). The winner in the T2 class was Merdan Toilyev driving a Nissan Patrol from Turkmenavtowlaglary agency. The first in the open class was Charyyev Charyyar in a Toyota Hilux.
