UNICEF event in honor of Children's Day in Turkmenistan

On June 1, with the support of UNICEF and the Government of Turkmenistan, festive events dedicated to the International Children's Day were held in the country. This is reported in the Press Release of UNICEF Turkmenistan.

In honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's accession to the Convention on the Protection of the Rights of Children, UNICEF, together with the Turkmenaragatnashyk agency, issued commemorative postage stamps.

A special event for children was organized and held in the UN building in the capital by the UN Children's Fund together with the Ministry of Education of the country. As part of the event, the young guests received information about the protection of children's rights, took part in interactive games and performed interesting tasks. The children also had an opportunity to leave messages for the children of the future, which were sealed and placed in the UNICEF office. The messages will be opened and read by the new generation in 2033.

In addition, in celebration of Children's Day, UNICEF joined the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry in the annual conference held at the Scientific and Clinical Research Center for Maternal and Child Health.
