Turkmenistan hosted a seminar on children's rights with the participation of UNICEF
The implementation of the National Plan on the Rights of the Child was the subject of a dialogue between specialists from UNICEF and the Institute for State, Law, and Democracy. This plan confirms the priorities of the country's policy, which relate to ensuring the rights and well-being of children, creating conditions for their harmonious development.
In her presentation, the internationally renowned expert D. Ilieva elaborated on the topic of expert evaluation of the steps to implement the National Plan on the Rights of the Child, adopted in 2018. The expert named the criteria for evaluation and answered the questions that arose. In his response, A. Narteya, UNICEF Deputy Chairman, stressed that this was the first time an evaluation had been carried out in this format. He also noted the important role of young SDG Ambassadors.
