The Ombudsman of Turkmenistan approved the "Strategic Plan of the Office of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan for 2024-2028". This was reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The plan was developed in accordance with Turkmen law, human rights programmes, the recommendations of international experts and the experience of the Office of the Ombudsman. The plan includes priority areas for the Office's external and internal activities.
The approved document will strengthen the capacity of the Ombudsman's Office, increase the number of staff and expand programs. The Strategic Plan will also facilitate the accreditation of the Turkmenistan Ombudsman's Office by the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions.
