A good tradition timed to the International Women's Day has become a contest exposition in the Exhibition Center of Turkmenistan, where only the fair sex can become participants. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
This year, more than two hundred female artists from Ashgabat and various provinces of the country presented their works of fine art at the exhibition.
The conditions of participation in the contest are very democratic: women could present their works regardless of the rank of their artistic education.
The organizers of the contest placed more than three hundred works by Turkmen women artists on two floors of the Exhibition Center of the capital. The works include paintings and graphics, ceramic sculptures and works of jewelry art.
Thanks to the free theme of the competition, the artists were able to follow the path of full self-expression, not limited by artificial frames. There were many paintings depicting the image of a mother among the contest works. The children's theme was no less popular, and many artists performed in the genre of floristics, presenting paintings with floral still lifes.
