WHO and Turkmenistan discuss pandemic preparedness

The World Health Organization, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and government partners held a meeting on health emergency preparedness in Ashgabat today. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the WHO Press Service in Turkmenistan.

The draft National Action Plan on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness, Response and Recovery was the central topic of discussion. The meeting participants considered joint measures to improve intersectoral cooperation in the field of public health.

During the event, the next steps and milestones for the finalization and approval of the National Pandemic Plan were identified. The main objective of the meeting was to strengthen national capacity to protect public health and ensure alignment with global health security priorities.
