Mosques to function in Turkmenistan

On the eve of the important for all Muslims holy month of Ramadan, which begins on April 2, restrictions on visits to mosques in the Turkmen capital and all five velayats were lifted. Mosques will start working as usual.

The relaxation of anti-coveting measures in this regard comes on March 29. However, it is emphasized that it will be possible to visit mosques if all necessary sanitary and hygienic norms are observed.

Ramadan will last for 30 days, during which time the Muftiyat of Turkmenistan approved a calendar of iftar and suhur (evening and morning meals). The end of Ramadan will be followed by Uraza Bayram, one of the most important holidays for all Muslims, which is customary to begin with morning prayers and good wishes.
