In January-December 2022, the volume of transit cargo transported through the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi increased 2.5 times compared to the same period last year.
Major transit cargoes include petroleum products, chemical cargoes, construction materials, metal and metal products, machinery and spare parts, foodstuffs, etc.
It is noted that the consistent introduction of digital technologies and services in accordance with previously adopted government programs, improving the quality of the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port contributed to the increase in transit cargo.
