Training for young journalists from the EU took place in Ashgabat

A two-day training on mobile journalism, media literacy and storytelling was held in Ashgabat on June 15-16. This is reported on the official page of the European Union Delegation in Turkmenistan in the social network.

The event was held within the framework of the EU-funded REVIVE project. Among the invited experts were Marat Sadykov and Daria Osmanova.

The classes included not only theoretical but also practical exercises, case studies, game-based training practices and interactives. Young journalists learned the basics of critical thinking, factchecking, public speaking, and self-presentation skills.

The participants also learned about modern journalism formats and had a chance to try their hand at storytelling. Several blocks of practical training sessions were devoted to photography and videography in mobile journalism.
