Turkmenistan and Russia discuss priorities of strategic partnership

Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, head of the Russian branch of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation Alexei Overchuk. This is reported on the air of the news program Watan.

During the meeting, the sides noted the fruitful intergovernmental cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation and identified priorities for its development. Positive dynamics of cooperation was noted in the political and diplomatic sphere, interparliamentary cooperation, trade and economic sphere, in particular, in the oil and gas and industrial sectors.

It was emphasized that great importance is attached to cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including in the fields of science, education, culture, health care and digital technologies. The sides noted the commitment to further development of Turkmen-Russian cooperation.
