Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan met with TRACECA representative

On April 17, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Secretary General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA Asat Asavbayev. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting the parties discussed the current situation and prospects for further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and TRACECA. The Turkmen side expressed its commitment to joint implementation of TRACECA documents in order to expand the transport and transit potential of the region and investment opportunities of the transport and transit corridors.

Turkmenistan's accession to the Basic Multilateral Agreement on International Transport for the Development of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia Corridor in November last year, aimed at developing trade and transport cooperation, was noted.
