A telephone conversation between the leaders of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan took place yesterday, June 29, emphasizing the growing ties between the two Central Asian states. About it reported TDH.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday and the anniversary of the opening of Arkadag city, which became an occasion to discuss a number of important issues of bilateral cooperation.
During the talk, the leaders noted the fraternal nature of relations between the peoples of both countries and expressed satisfaction with the partnership reaching a qualitatively new level in many areas. Special attention was paid to the prospects of deepening ties in trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The leaders also discussed opportunities to intensify the dialog between political parties and legislative bodies of the two countries, which indicates the aspiration for comprehensive development of relations. Hero Arkadag praised Mirziyoyev's personal contribution to strengthening bilateral ties and expressed gratitude for celebrating the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi in Uzbekistan.
In turn, the President of Uzbekistan reaffirmed the commitment to the course of strengthening friendship with Turkmenistan, which speaks of the long-term nature of cooperation between the two countries. Concluding the conversation, the leaders exchanged warm wishes of prosperity and well-being to the peoples of both countries.
