On October 3, a collection of selected poems by Makhtumkuli Fraghi translated into Kyrgyz was presented in Bishkek as part of the scientific and practical conference "300 Years of the Classic of Oriental Poetry Makhtumkuli Fraghi". This is reported by the Internet edition "AsmanNews.
The Turkmen delegation was headed by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan N. Golliev. The event was also attended by deputy ministers of culture, information, sports and youth policy, education and science of Kyrgyzstan, teachers of leading universities in Bishkek, creative intellectuals and journalists.
During the speeches, the importance of Makhtumkuli's literary heritage and the celebration of the 300th anniversary of his birth was noted. N. Goliyev emphasized that Makhtumkuli Fraghi is the founder of Turkmen classical literature, whose creative heritage has become an integral part of the world culture.
