Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan M. Byashimova held today a meeting with a delegation of the British export credit organization UK Export Finance (UKEF).
The British delegation was headed by Shebnem Alp, Regional Head for Turkey, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. During the talks, the sides discussed opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and investment areas.
The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the consideration of proposals for the implementation of infrastructure and export-oriented projects in Turkmenistan. Representatives of both sides expressed interest in creating effective mechanisms for the realization of joint initiatives.
The participants of the talks reaffirmed mutual commitment to strengthening partnership relations between Turkmenistan and Great Britain. The parties defined the main goal of the developing cooperation as ensuring sustainable economic development.
