President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, where key issues of state development were discussed and a decree on the establishment of a new higher education institution was signed.
Following Ataguliyev's report, President Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on the establishment of the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The document provides for the establishment of the university under the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
Majlis Speaker D. Gulmanova informed about the preparations for the parliamentary session, where it is planned to adopt a new Civil Code, laws on the unified state register of voters and additions to the Customs Code.
In the field of education, Deputy Prime Minister H. Geldimiradov reported on measures to license private universities. President Berdimuhamedov approved the proposal to include "Higher Vocational Education" and "Vocational Education after Higher Education" directions in the classifier.
Foreign Minister R. Meredov presented data on the country's international humanitarian activities. Turkmenistan participates in 54 international organizations and has implemented 333 projects with the UN since 1994. A total of 4,640 people from more than 50 countries have passed through the humanitarian corridor.
The foreign ministry suggested holding a roundtable with the International Organization for Migration and the UN on June 28 and a briefing with diplomats on June 29.
B. Seyidova congratulated on the Day of Culture Workers and presented the project of holding Culture Week in Balkan velayat on June 22-27, 2026. President Berdimuhamedov signed the relevant decree.
The meeting also considered the issues of geological exploration, agricultural works and preparation of Ashgabat for events in honor of the International Year of Peace and Trust.
