Ashgabat, July 29 - Arzuw.news. Within the framework of the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan on transformation of social and living conditions of the population of villages, settlements, towns of etraps and etrap centers for the period up to 2028 it is planned to build 87 social and cultural facilities across the country. The program, adopted on July 11, 2025, is aimed at cardinal improvement of the quality of life of the population and development of regional infrastructure. According to the document, 4 hospitals, 12 polyclinics and medical centers, 17 pre-school institutions, 32 schools, 4 houses of culture, 12 water treatment facilities and 6 sewage treatment facilities will be built.
The largest volume of construction is planned in Ahal and Dashoguz velayats - 19 objects in each. About 850 kilometers of water pipelines, 560 kilometers of roads, 260 kilometers of gas pipelines and almost 500 kilometers of power lines will be laid in Akhal velayat.
In Balkan velayat, 14 facilities will be built, including two hospitals and two polyclinics. More than 368 kilometers of roads and 150 kilometers of gas pipeline will also be built here. In Lebap velayat it is planned to build 16 new facilities with reconstruction of one hospital.
Mary province will receive 18 new and reconstructed objects with a total living area of 147 thousand square meters. The length of new roads in this region will be almost 400 kilometers.
The program envisages comprehensive development of engineering infrastructure, including construction of high-speed highways, improvement of logistics systems and expansion of communication networks in all velayats of the country.
