Meredov attends Arab-Islamic summit in Doha

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov is on an official visit to the capital of Qatar to participate in an extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers of the member countries of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as in an emergency Arab-Islamic summit. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The visit takes place on September 14-15 in Doha. Turkmenistan expressed its official position on the developments in the region, emphasizing the inadmissibility of the use of force to settle international disputes as contrary to the principles of the UN Charter and international law.

Rashid Meredov met with Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani. The Turkmen Foreign Minister conveyed greetings from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The sides discussed bilateral cooperation in political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
