Turkmenistan and Daewoo discuss construction of fertilizer plant

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Executive Vice President of Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. Cho Seung-il to discuss the development of bilateral cooperation. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the talks, the Turkmen side emphasized the importance of strengthening long-term relations with the Republic of Korea and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in key sectors of the economy.

The participants of the meeting reviewed the successful work of Korean companies in the oil and gas and chemical industry of Turkmenistan. Special attention was paid to effective cooperation with "Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd".

The parties noted the conclusion of a contract for the construction of a complex for the production of mineral fertilizers at the chemical plant in Turkmenabat. They also discussed the activities of Korean companies on the implementation of the project to create a modern medical cluster in the city of Arkadag.

Following the meeting, the participants confirmed their readiness to further enhance mutually beneficial cooperation and implementation of joint projects between Turkmenistan and South Korean companies.
