Turkmenistan and Bahrain discuss development of cooperation

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Talal Abdulsalam Al-Ansari. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The talks were held on September 16 and were devoted to discussing the current state and prospects of development of Turkmen-Bahrain cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The participants of the meeting noted the importance of mutual visits at the highest level and holding meetings within the framework of multilateral international platforms. Special attention was paid to the positive experience of interaction between the two countries in international organizations, particularly within the UN framework.

The sides emphasized the need to develop inter-parliamentary ties and strengthen cooperation between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Bahrain. The negotiations also addressed the issues of improving the bilateral legal framework for cooperation and the implementation of previously reached agreements between the countries.
