The country's main Christmas tree was lit with multicolored lights on the square in front of the "Älem" (Universe) Cultural and Entertainment Center in Ashgabat today.

The central place is given to the fluffy beautiful Christmas tree, dressed in a luxurious outfit of thousands of sparkling balls and toys, topped with an octagonal star with the number "2023". The height of the symbol of the New Year together with the star decorating its top is 43 meters.
The square was decorated with light arches, installed compositions and dozens of figures of fairy-tale characters, including with national colors. The city itself was transformed. Literally every tree in the streets is hung with garlands.
Ayaz Baba and his granddaughter drove through the main streets of Ashgabat. Then they went on a big trip around the country together. The main heroes of the holiday used digital technology to visit all corners of their native country and learn about the economic, cultural and social policy achievements of the past year.
The culmination of the New Year's Eve holiday was a beautiful Christmas tree that sparkled as if by magic.
At this moment, all the Christmas trees installed in the main squares of towns and villages, where also were colorful performances, poems and songs performed by young artists, were lit with wonderful lights.
The celebration ended at the main Christmas tree of the country with a great concert.
We should add that last year the Ashgabat New Year Tree was recognized as the highest in the CIS.
