On August 26, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Turkmenistan (with residence in Ankara) Sok Chea, who presented copies of his credentials during the meeting. During the meeting, the sides discussed the expansion of political and diplomatic ties. The sides noted the effective dialogue within the framework of authoritative international and regional organizations. The possibility of strengthening inter-parliamentary relations was considered.
The sides expressed mutual interest in expanding cultural and humanitarian ties, particularly in the areas of science, culture, education and tourism. The Deputy Minister congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and expressed readiness to assist in the implementation of his diplomatic activities.
