Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Italy Toyla Komekov met with the head of the Human Resources Department of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Serge Nakuzi at the FAO headquarters in Rome. This was reported by the Westiabad online edition.
The Turkmen side noted the effectiveness of the Organization's activities and expressed interest in expanding cooperation between Turkmenistan and FAO. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility for Turkmen specialists to undergo internship in FAO units related to agriculture, climate change, water resources management and combating desertification. This will make it possible to train qualified personnel for the development of these areas in Turkmenistan.
