Wellington, July 18 - Arzuw.news. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to New Zealand Atadurdy Bayramov presented his credentials to Governor General of New Zealand Cindy Kiro. The ceremony was held on July 16 at the Government House in Wellington. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Ambassador Bayramov, who has his residence in Tokyo, conveyed greetings from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The Turkmen side confirmed interest in deepening friendly relations with New Zealand in various directions. In turn, Governor General Cindy Kiro asked to convey warm greetings to the leadership of Turkmenistan.
The day before, on July 15, the Ambassador met with Rod Harris, Head of the European Department of the New Zealand Foreign Ministry. The parties discussed the expansion of interaction in the political and diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The visit also included meetings with the head of the Protocol Division of the New Zealand Foreign Ministry and with the Ambassadors of Turkey and Mexico to New Zealand on the bilateral agenda.
