Ambassador of Turkmenistan presents credentials in Ireland

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Ireland Y. Seriaev made a working visit to Dublin on August 25-26, during which he presented copies of credentials to the Irish side. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The diplomat, whose residence is in London, met with Ralph Victor, deputy head of the Protocol Division of the Irish Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry. The Irish side congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and reiterated its readiness to facilitate the implementation of his diplomatic mission.

At the meeting, the sides noted mutual interest in the development of friendly relations between the two states. The participants of the talks discussed the prospects of strengthening the bilateral dialog.

On August 26, Ambassador Y. Seriaev held talks with Fiona Nick Donncha, Deputy Director for Political Affairs at the Irish Foreign Ministry, and Colm Hayes, Director General of Global Ireland. The focus was on opportunities for developing bilateral cooperation in the political and trade-economic spheres, renewable energy and education.

The diplomats also considered issues of interaction within the framework of international organizations. The Turkmen ambassador informed the Irish colleagues about Turkmenistan's peaceful foreign policy, friendly relations with foreign countries and economic development of the republic.
