A seminar was held in the Turkmen capital, the topic of which was the concept of the Neutral Balance of Land Degradation within the framework of the program of sustainable management of ecosystems and land resources in the Aral Sea basin. This was reported by the Internet resource "Westiabad."
During the seminar, the participants were introduced to the new version of the National Action Program to Combat Desertification. Among the important objectives of the event were to improve the qualification of specialists in the field of ecology and agriculture, exchange of experience in ensuring a neutral balance of land degradation to ensure sustainable management.
UNDP experts told about the practical experience of using the NBAP concept and shared indicators and checkpoints for achieving the goals in the Priaralie region.
