The Embassy of India in Turkmenistan announced to hold screenings of Bollywood films at the Ashgabat Cinema from January 24 to 26, 2025. The event is aimed at strengthening cultural ties between the two countries through the prism of modern Indian cinema.
The festival program includes five diverse films. The opening screening on January 24 will be "Serghezdan" (3 hours and 13 minutes), and in the evening of the same day the audience will be able to see the film "English Winglish". The next day the program will continue with the screening of "Jenap 420" and the film "83". The festival will end on January 26 with the screening of "Rakshabandhan", which has a running time of 1 hour and 48 minutes.
The organizers have provided a convenient schedule for visitors: daytime shows start at 11:00 and 13:00, and evening shows - at 19:00. It should be especially noted that admission to all screenings is free of charge, and seats in the auditorium are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
This cultural event continues the series of events aimed at developing Turkmen-Indian cooperation in the field of culture and art. Screenings of Indian films traditionally enjoy great popularity among the residents of the Turkmen capital, contributing to a better understanding of Indian culture and traditions.
