The International Conference on Strengthening Peace was held in Ashgabat

On December 11, the Turkmen capital hosted the International Conference "Joint Actions for Strengthening International Peace and Sustainable Development". It is reported Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The conference discussed topical issues of international cooperation in the context of sustainable development. In his speech, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov emphasized the important role of Turkmenistan in the process of strengthening peace. Representatives of the EU and the UN emphasized the importance of the conference as an effective platform for discussing aspects of global security in the context of modern challenges.

The event was attended by representatives of international and regional organizations, heads of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, security experts, employees of the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of research institutes and youth public organizations.
