Delegation from Turkmenistan attended a seminar of the World Health Organization

Turkmen specialists in the field of medicine took part in the World Health Organization seminar on sanitary and epidemiological supervision, which was held in Almaty. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."

The theme of the WHO workshop was epidemiologic surveillance and strengthening intersectoral collaboration for infectious disease control. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the United Nations Environment Programme partnered with WHO for the workshop.

Delegates from Turkmenistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan discussed the epidemiological situation in the world, strategies for responding to health threats, and raising public awareness of infectious diseases.
