The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey together with TURKSOY organized the international film festival "Turan", which was attended by 77 countries of the world. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The films of the Oguzkhan Turkmenfilm Association were shown as part of the festival program among 1,055 films by filmmakers from different countries. Turkmenistan was represented by "Ol Rumystany görsem" directed by H. Alovovov, "Umyt" directed by I. Annamukhammedov and "Meniň kakam" directed by A. Eeberdyev. Two Turkmen films - "Ol Rumystany görsem", shot in honor of the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli Fraghi, and "Umyt" were awarded special awards and diplomas of the jury of the International Film Festival "Turan".
The Oguzkhan Turkmenfilm Association was honored with an award for its contribution to the culture of Turkic peoples.
