Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov presented the country at the ministerial meeting in the format "C5+1", which was held on September 27. About it reports Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen Foreign Minister noted the effectiveness of this format of joint work in the areas of economy, security, energy and combating the effects of climate change. The Turkmen side proposed ways to strengthen cooperation with the United States in these areas. Later, a meeting was held with U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on the development of strategic partnership.
Negotiations between representative delegations of the United States and Turkmenistan took place. Interest in strengthening Turkmen-American cooperation in the field of security was confirmed.
It was noted that the Turkmen-American Business Council has a special role in the context of energy issues.
The sides also stressed the effectiveness of educational, scientific, humanitarian cooperation and organization of academic exchanges.
