Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan meets with Ambassador of Pakistan

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Pakistan's Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahsanam Wagan on April 18 to present copies of his credentials. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and noted his readiness to assist in the development of Turkmen-Pakistani cooperation. The Pakistani side expressed interest in further development of bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The positive dynamics of trade-economic, political-diplomatic and cultural-humanitarian partnership was noted.

The meeting also reviewed the progress of the TAPI gas pipeline project, the issues of laying TAP power transmission lines and fiber-optic communication.
