At the August 27 meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers one of the key topics was the development of digital economy in Turkmenistan. Deputy Prime Minister B. Ovezov reported to Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov on the results in this area.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the introduction of digital technologies at all levels, from ministries to individual entrepreneurs, is carried out in stages. To date, 294 sites have been developed, cybersecurity of which is supported by "Türkmenaragatnaşyk".
Ovezov provided the head of state with a draft document on the creation of an automated database system, necessary for the full launch of the "e-Government". Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov ordered to intensify this process.
The President emphasized that local authorities should pay special attention to digitalization. The Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to provide rural areas with the Internet and prepare the necessary infrastructure for processing large amounts of data.
