Speaking at the 10th meeting of the Government and the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding, the Leader of the Turkmen Nation noted the stable development of the industry, which is supported by the authorities. For example, $680 million were allocated to improve the comfort of horse breeders.
155 companies and individuals from 34 countries around the world became members of the Association during 10 years of its existence, cooperation with foreign partners is increasing every year. The president singled out riders from Galkynysh, who show high results at various events in China, Russia, Italy and Kyrgyzstan.
Deputy Prime Minister for the agricultural sector E. Orazgeldyev put forward an initiative to introduce a new title "Türkmenistanyň ussat halypa seýisi" for mentors. The head of state approved it and instructed the parliament to approve this issue legislatively.
The Turkmen leader also issued decrees on awarding state awards to the best horse breeders, as well as conferring the title of "honored horse breeder" on members of the Association. Foreign members of the organization thanked the head of state for his support of Akhal-Teke horse breeding via video link.
The next meeting will be held in a year in Ashgabat.
