During the speech of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty on September 24, 2023, it was proposed to develop a strategy for the development of cities of Turkmenistan. According to the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty, the country has created the necessary legislative base for urban planning work, which is inextricably linked to the living standards of the population. It was noted that the country has created wide opportunities for providing the population with decent housing and formation of appropriate social environment, as well as for sustainable development of settlements.
In this regard, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to create a strategy of urban development necessary to bring the welfare of the country's citizens to the level of the most developed countries of the world.
