Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan held talks with his Kyrgyz counterpart

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.

In the course of the conversation the sides discussed topical issues related to the enhancement of bilateral cooperation in trade and economic sphere and other areas of mutual interest.

The Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan reported on the provision of humanitarian assistance in the form of free transfer of liquefied natural gas to a friendly country by order of the President of Turkmenistan in connection with the accident at the thermal power plant in Bishkek. At the end of the telephone conversation, the parties agreed to maintain regular contacts between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.
