The annual European Immunization Week started in Turkmenistan on April 22. This was reported by the Internet publication "TurkmenPortal".
During this week, a number of activities will be held to raise public awareness of the importance of vaccine prophylaxis. Counseling centers and hotlines have been organized for parents of young children. Medical workers have attended seminars and trainings on immunization, including at the M. Garryev State Medical University and medical schools.
Information about the benefits of immunization is disseminated through the media, schools and various institutions. Vaccination of children in accordance with the National Vaccination Calendar is explained at open classes and through booklets. All preventive measures are aimed at maintaining a favorable epidemic situation in Turkmenistan.
