A concert for the World Jazz Day was held in Ashgabat

A concert dedicated to the World Jazz Day was held in the National Music and Drama Theater named after Makhtumkuli in the capital of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Honored Art Worker of Turkmenistan Rovshan Nepesov and jazz orchestra musicians took part in the concert. The compositions "Avaza" and "Oriental Fantasy" were performed on stage, Selim Gurbansahetov performed jazz "Sway". The premiere of Nepesov's author's work "Cypress" was also held. The song "Kushdepti" was performed by popular singer Soyunmamed Khudaiberdiev.

Alexei Vasilyevich Emelyanov, Director of the Mariinsky Theatre, was the concert's guest of honor.
The next day after the concert "Nepesov Trio" artists went to Tajikistan for the YII International Dushanbe Ethno-Jazz Festival.
