In honor of the great Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi, a conference was held in Uzbekistan

A dialog conference on the theme "World Glory of Makhtumkuli" was held in Bukhara region of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The conference was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan Y. Mamedov. Mammadov, Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Ch. Rustemova, Bukhara Province Mayor B. Zaripov, representatives of universities, mass media, heads of the Cultural Center of Turkmenistan, representatives of the Turkmen Diaspora.

The participants of the conference noted that the creative heritage of the great Makhtumkuli is an invaluable heritage of the whole world, not only of the Turkic-speaking peoples.

During the conference, the participants exchanged views on scientific studies of Makhtumkuli's work. As part of the event, the guests visited the memorial complex "Old City" in Bukhara, Gogeldash Madrasah, where the great thinker of the East received his education.
