A seminar on desert pasture management was held in Turkmenistan

A training workshop was held in the Akhal velayat of Turkmenistan on methods of desert pasture management under conditions of intensifying desert drought in the Central Karakum desert. The seminar was held on June 16, 2023 in the Info Center of the Nature Reserve "Bereketli Garagum". This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The workshop was conducted for members of Farmer Field Schools to improve skills and knowledge capacity in the field of modern technologies to combat desertification. The participants of the training workshop were familiarized with the method of combined fixation of mobile sands. The technologies of planting different plant species to fix barchan soils were also considered.

Among the participants of the training-seminar are experts of the "CACILM-2" project, specialists of state nature reserves, staff of the National Institute of Deserts, Flora and Fauna, and members of the SFP.
