Туркменистан построит химкомплекс по производству карбамида

The President of Turkmenistan signed a decree on the construction of a large chemical complex for urea production with a capacity of 1 million 155 thousand tons per year. The new facility will be built in Turkmenbashi etrap of Balkan province to increase the country's export potential. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the publication Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

According to the document, the state concern "Türkmenhimiýa" is allowed to conclude a contract with Japanese company "Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd." and Turkish "Gap Inşaat Yatirim ve Diş Tisaret Anonim Şirketi". International contractors will implement the large-scale project.

Construction work is scheduled to begin in July 2026. The complex is expected to be fully operational in February 2030, which is about four years into the project.

The project envisages not only the construction of production facilities, but also the design and improvement of adjacent territories. The new chemical complex will become an important element in the development of Turkmenistan's industrial potential and strengthening of the country's position in the international market of chemical products.
