Turkmenistan uses the Internet to popularize libraries

The State Library of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan hosted a conference on the use of the Internet and the creation of digital libraries to increase interest in books among the younger generation. This was reported by the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".

Library staff and educators shared their experience and opinions on the development of librarianship in Turkmenistan.

The speakers suggested the creation of forums and interest sites to use digital formats to attract young people to libraries. With the help of online libraries, representatives of the younger generation will be able to learn about new publications, communicate with other readers, share impressions about books and opinions, and consult on various issues.

During the forum it was emphasized that the active use and introduction of electronic technologies in libraries will increase their popularity among young users.
