Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Armenia M. Ayazov met with Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan in Yerevan to discuss issues related to the Days of Armenian Culture in Turkmenistan. This is reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.
During the talks, the richness of Armenia's culture, which has many ancient traditions and customs, was noted. The country is famous for its national cuisine, dances, music, architectural monuments and outstanding poets.
The sides agreed to develop cooperation in humanitarian, educational and sports spheres. They also agreed to intensify cultural exchange and work on improving the legal framework.
The Turkmen side expressed gratitude for the support in holding events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli Fraghi. The prospects of mutual participation of schoolchildren of the two countries in thematic Olympiads were also discussed.
