Elections of members of the local self-government body were held in Turkmenistan

Elections of members of Gengesh - a local self-government body - were held in the town of Arkadag in Aba Annayev settlement of Kyarizek etrap. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

There are 10 candidates for 5 seats of Gengesh members - members of the Democratic Party, the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Agrarian Party. 5 electoral districts were organized in the settlement for the elections. The 1st polling station was established in the secondary school No. 10 in Arkadag township. A total of 236 voters have the right to vote in the settlement.

Early voting took place from 13 to 22 July, with 7,63% of the total number of voters participating. According to the CEC, more than 92% voters participated by the time the polling station closed. The CEC recognized the elections as valid and the results will be announced shortly.
